On the 25th of each month you can try some of Taos County's best places to eat.  AND your dining out also helps us to continue building a community where our hard-working neighbors can work toward the gift of stability, safety, and self-reliance through affordable shelter.  These establishments have agreed to donate 25% of their proceeds on the 25th of their particular month (see below for list) to Habitat for Humanity of Taos in honor of our 25th anniversary.


 

Wednesday, April 25th Quechua Peruvian Restaurant is hosting the donating 25% to HFHT for our 25th Anniversary.  If you have not had a chance to check out this authentic Peruvian restaurant with their authentic Peruvian chef, you are missing out on a cultural treat.  Open from 11a-9p; people are talking about the lomo saltado, delicious cucumber lemonade, hot sauces, very friendly service, quinoa salad, peruvian chef, cultural experience and a great location.  Address is 122 Paseo del Pueblo Sur.  Your meal will help provide decent, affordable shelter in Taos County!  Any questions, please give us a call at 575.758.7827.

Monday, June 25th Common Fire-“There are magical occurrences unfolding…The enticing menu and wine list, while small, feel infinite with the breadth of options. Wednesday, July 25th Sabrosos Restaurant and Bar, Sabroso always means fine American and global cuisine, a fully-stocked bar and wine cellar, with live music and a value-priced menu in the piano bar. The bar is often referred as "Seco's living room". The bar features a daily happy hour from four until six with attractively-priced drinks and a special small plates menu in additional to the normal menu.  Located at 470 State Highway 150 in Arroyo Seco.  Any questions, please give Habitat a call at 575.758.7827.

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Fundraiser Part I at El Monte Sagrado
Starting at 5:30 come hear entertainment by Taos Middle/High School Mariachi El Tigre, enjoy fantastic salsa and dip stations, bid on awesome treasures and packages at the silent auction and partake of a drink, maybe a special Mezcal margarita, with your $25 entry fee.  There will also be a Premium Tequila Tasting station that is an additional $25.  Click here to buy your ticket, scrolling down to the credit card information and please put in the box that it is for the Fiesta Fundraiser and/or the extra Premium Tasting, or you can call the office at 575.758.7827.
 
Cinco de Mayo Part II - Agave Spirits Dinner Pairing  
Experience - Education - Entertaining at El Monte Sagrado! Chef Christina is pairing 4-5 courses, working closely with Ron Cooper, founder of Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal (Produced the 400-year-old organic, handcrafted way; from the heart of maguey and soul of the village; the finest and purest available in the world) and Michael Trujillo, Director of Mixology & Spirits Education from Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. Taste and become enlightened on the flavors and Pleasures of Premium Tequila, Artisanal Mezcal and their history. It starts with an Amuse Bouche and a Smokin' Margarita, several surprise middle courses, and will end with a Aztec Hot Chocolate. Women Build 2018 is May 10th through 13th from 9a-4pm.  We cordially invite all the women of Taos County and beyond to our annual Women Build 2018.  Women Build is a program for women who want to learn construction skills and build homes and communities. It brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing families throughout Taos County.  No experience necessary!  **You can come all three days, or two or one.  Whatever is comfortable for you.  It’s free!  HFHT will supply all tools, materials, fresh water, snacks, and friendly supervised instruction. 25th Anniversary Party/Grand Opening and Chamber of Commerce Mix and Meet
Come see our new offices at 504 Salazar Road (built with funding from a HUD grant and the help of TCAR).  This will be a celebration of Habitat for Humanity of Taos' 25th anniversary and the community that has made it happen partnered with the Taos Chamber of Commerce's monthly Mix and Meet.  To be help on Thursday, September 13th from 5:30-7:30.
